Elegance across an entire city block

Located in First Hill, a dense residential area of low-rise brick buildings and mature trees, Broadstone Saxton offers sophistication and convenience steps from downtown Seattle. Our initial challenge in bringing this vision to life was demonstrating to the Seattle Review Board that our eight-story community would offer as much public benefit to the neighborhood as a high-rise structure. Our plan for a nuanced design built across an entire city block with multiple street frontages responds to the site conditions and the needs of the neighborhood.

Uncommon attention to detail and environment

Intricate masonry detailing was employed throughout each distinct facade, particularly at ground-level, reflecting a rare craftsmanship that nods to the neighborhood’s architectural legacy. Brickwork, secondary materials, and overall massing distinguish the building architecturally, while design elements, including a water-wall fountain, glass-box lobby, public plaza, and connective breezeway create aesthetic appeal. Our project presents an uncommon connection to the environment as well. Located on Terry Avenue, a designated Green Street, Broadstone Saxton is the first building to offer a streetscape and landscape in line with the Seattle Green Street Vision.

Luxury in amenities

We built Broadstone Saxton’s featured amenities to respond to the needs of the community and define a lifestyle akin to high-rise living. Two opposite corner lobbies make it easy for residents to arrive and depart from the building. Commercial spaces for shopping and dining connect the building to the neighborhood. Beautifully designed shared areas, including a lobby lounge, deluxe conference center, fitness lounge, club room, sky terrace and public plaza, invite interaction between residents and neighbors.

Program: Apartments, lobby lounge, public plaza, garden courtyard with breezeway connection, sky terrace roof deck with outdoor fireplace and barbecue, club/entertainment room, conference room, fitness area, game room/sports lounge, guest suite, pet spa.
