Burke + Union Apartments

Located just to the east of the University Village, with the Burke Gillman Trail running along the back of the site, the Burke + Union Apartments will help bring new definition to what is now more of an “in-between” street. The project program was to replace a parking garage which would then be wrapped with residential units. Along the street, the project clearly articulates a retail base, with apartments above, stepping out in a saw tooth pattern in response to the shape of the site and the diverging angled relationship between the street and the historic trail.
